Handcrafted Hmong products – Supporting Hill Tribe Artistry
Every purchase from this collection supports the Hill Tribes of Thailand.
Narissara, a talented artisan from the village of Ban Hong in northern Thailand’s Lampang Province, has been passionate about creativity from a young age. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of her natural surroundings, she developed a love for art, which later evolved into a career crafting unique, handcrafted products.
At 24, after moving to Chiang Mai with her husband and anticipating the birth of their daughter, Narissara sought to support her family by turning her passion into a livelihood. She learned the craft of making leather goods and clothing under the guidance of a master fabric worker, which enabled her to bring her creative ideas to life.
Narissara’s greatest inspiration comes from the vibrant, intricate fabrics of the Hill Tribes, which she sources from local markets to create her beautiful Hmong bags. The textures and colors of the fabrics are deeply woven with cultural significance, and Narissara strives to preserve the traditional Hill Tribe artistry through her creations.
Each item is meticulously handcrafted, often takes days to complete. Narissara pours her passion and dedication into every piece she makes, with the hope that her work supports not only her family but also the livelihood of the Hill Tribe community. By purchasing her handcrafted bags, you help sustain the traditions and culture of the Hill Tribes, making a meaningful impact on the lives of artisans and their families.
